Here are some glimpses of our Fall gala—it was enormous fun for all! We celebrated our support of scholarship this year, and honored three prestigious educators at Columbia (Doctor Donald Landry and Johns Hopkins (Doctors Sabra Klein and Wendy Bennett) for their contribution to training young investigators interested in exploring gender-specific medicine. Three of our 2024 winners of research grants told us in person what they were studying and what our support had meant to their career development. It’s fair to say they were the hit of the evening.

It wasn’t all serious—there was a long line of candidates to have their fortunes told by our guest seer Sherrie Lynne and as always, our DJ inspired some creative turns around the dance floor. We initiated our first auction this year—the most sought after prize was a signed baseball by Yankee pitcher Gerrit Cole but exciting opportunities for gourmet meals, get-away destination trips and opportunities for fun at the theater were all snapped up by our audience.

Online Auction

Some of the items donated by our supporters were VIP Broadway tickets, jewelry, cheese wheels from Italy, coffee, custom made bicycles, Moser crystal glasses, high end travel destinations to Europe and Napa and a private piano concert.

Bidding started on November 14 and ended the night of the gala November 19 at 9:30pm.

All proceeds from the auction went directly towards advancing gender-specific medical research and supported young investigators in this critically important field.
