Gala 2021

Honoring Patricia D. Klingenstein and Sally S. Kleberg

Ms. Patricia Klingenstein and Sally Kleberg with Dr. Legato

Our 24th annual gala celebrated American philanthropy, unique in the world, and one of the best features of our national persona. One of the most outstanding representatives of that was our honoree, Patricia D. Klingenstein. Her intelligent and generous support of the arts, science and particularly the education and health of children, is exceptional. We are also saluting corporate philanthropy: John E. Pepper, who was the Chief Executive Office of Procter & Gamble authorized the initial grant of 4 million dollars that founded our work at Columbia. His leadership on our behalf was of inestimable value; he provided not only funding, but the support of a diverse group of talented P&G personnel who used their innovative intelligence and talent to shape the Foundation’s mission and outreach.
